Located at 2777 E. Washington Blvd. in Los Angeles, Ekco Metals began on a 25,000 s.f. lot and today is a 4 acre facility with 3 separate scrap buying yards. All yards are completely paved and fully modernized with three loading docks, each capable of handling four containers. We have four truck scales, two large 15 ton capacity cranes, a Harris two stroke metal baler for non-ferrous scrap and a Sierra 1000 ton baler/shearer for ferrous scrap. Our yards are just minutes away from Long Beach/Los Angeles ports enabling Ekco Metals to be very competitive with other shippers.

Ekco Metals is one of the West Coast’s largest handlers of non-ferrous metals, regularly shipping material domestically as well as exporting to many regions throughout the world. In addition, we handle and ship large quantities of ferrous scrap to the Far East. Our main suppliers comprise both California and out-of-state dealers as well as industrial producers of scrap. Ekco Metals also has many long term service contracts with local municipalities, oil refineries, the US Navy and others where we service hundreds of locations throughout Southern California.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, Ekco Metals is also often used as a film location for major Hollywood movies, television shows and commercials. We are very flexible and can meet many filming needs. Please contact us if you are looking for an industrial/scrap yard shooting location.

In 2011 Ekco Metals opened a second location in San Diego, California. Located on Commercial Street, Ekco San Diego purchases both non-ferrous and ferrous metals from the public. We also service local municipalities, industrial accounts and government contracts.

Our staff is comprised of highly qualified, knowledgeable scrap veterans, many of whom have been with Ekco Metals two and three decades, with second generation employees in the workplace.
